What is NHS Continuing Healthcare?

NHS Continuing Healthcare (CHC) is a funding package provided by the NHS for adults who have complex and ongoing health needs. The eligibility criteria for NHS CHC funding can be long winded, strict and complex, making it difficult for individuals to even start the process.

Funding is not means tested, therefore if a person is suffering with a primary health need and meets the NHS criteria for funding, all costs of care will be paid, protecting savings, income and property. If you have been paying for care already and are found to be eligible for funding, you might be able to recover costs that have already been paid.

Acorn has an in-depth understanding of the criteria and process, we can guide and support you every step of the way. We offer assistance at all stages in the CHC process, whether you are planning for the future, looking to make an application, stuck within the assessments process, dealing with an appeal or wishing to make a complaint, we can ensure you are armed with the relevant advice or deal with everything for you, making sure you have the best possible chance of success.
